Spend money to buy time Anything that you derive no joy from. Anything that you do not want to learn. Anything that you do not want to get better at. Outsource. You want to look at a nice garden more than you want to do gardening. You want to enjoy the peace of a nicely decorated room more than you want to be a decorator. You want to enjoy a clean kitchen more than being a cleaner. The reason why most people do these things themselves is because they do not value their own time. Work out the ROI. You can afford more help than you think. If it takes a professional two days to decorate a room, how long is it going to take you? Twice as long? What about how much they charge? Is a painter earning more per hour than you? If so, become a painter. If not, employ one. Hint, your time should be priceless. The question is, if you take away all the busy work. You hire a gardener, a cleaner, a professional chef (yes you can afford this if you buy lunch and drink three mocha-choca-lattes every day). What are you going to do with your time? If you have no excuses left, guess what? You might be able to do the dream job that you have been putting off for so long. Or you might not. Realise though that the busy work is just an excuse. The real thing that is in your way is fear of failing. Be prepared to fail. Or make the version of "success" so small that you cannot fail. Taking the first step forwards is a win. Or you could watch Netfilx. Fed up of meeting hell? Our iPhone app can help. Find out more.
